I was there last week and are dive went alil longer then planned. We surfaced the sun was almost set, we left the park it was dark. Gates were still open and no one had said anything to us. I would not plan to do a night dive there though.
Do you recall what time it was when you pulled out of the gate?
I'd guess the sheriff can lock it any time after 6:30PM simply based on whenever he gets there. It's probably not the highlight of their day
You can always hit Cow for a guaranteed night dive. Just join the NSS-CDS if you have not already and be sure to get the key from Cathy before they close up shop for the night.

Let not piss off the gate manager by ruining his/her evening and potentially spoiling it for others. Screwing with someone's personal time has a habit of being paid back at some later date.
Gas, when are you going? I will be there on the 18th and heading to Peacock after that.
