    Default Which Santi to get

I'm going to order a new suit and I'm going with Santi this time around.

I already looked at their range in person and found my size. Just just not sure which one I should get. I do some sump diving but don't really do any climbing.

The e.lite seems pretty rugged but it's also pretty stiff and might be overkill for most non-sump dives. The e.lite plus seems to be a more comfortable suite to wear and seems rugged enough. Any thoughts? Which one did you get and why?

I dove a tls350 then a flx from Dui for many years. I switched a few months ago to the elite plus. I much prefer it to my duis. The elite has extra protection in places like the crotch, which is where my dui always wore out due to a tight crotch strap. So no need for a cloverleaf which I find annoying. I also went from a zip neck seal to glued and love being rid of the neck ring. I also find the santi version of zip seals better and obviously cheaper since you don’t have to pay for proprietary dui ones. I chose the elite plus because that’s what Kyle at ee said I’d be happiest with.
Should we take wagers on how many suggestions for non-santi suits you’re about to get?

I too am a reformed DUI user. I got my first Santi when Alex was introducing them to this country from Poland, which was around 2007. One of the most durable and comfortable suits I ever owned.

Almost twice the price of a nice Otter Watersports suit.

I have an Elite+, overall happy with it. The only recommendation would be to size up on the boots. They run small and compared to my DUI Turbo Soles, I wish the Santi had a boot style like that.

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning towards the plus too.

All you guys got the plastic zipper? The dealer is telling me they're great but I never had one.

DUI is super pricy over here. The FLX is about 1200 usd more than the plus and there are hardly any DUI dealers left. Seems like Santi started out ripping off DUI's design and has since pushed them out of some markets.
The Plus is about 2700 USD including 19% VAT (2300 Euros). So the gap between an Otter and the Santi is that big here.
What Otter suit are you comparing the e.lite to, James?

Sam, if you want a Santi and you need it within the next 3 or 4 month you should order soon... I've been told delivery time is about 3 month at the moment. Not sure if other brands are that busy but he dealer told me corona was a huge boost to the dry suit business... who would have guessed that.

No issues with zipper. It was one of my concerns.

wife and i dive santi e.lite+ and have been very happy with them. we were on the fence between a DUI and Santi, but what pushed us to Santi was the gusset panel on the under arm area, and the Santi being a mostly turnkey purchase. The DUI when trimmed out with matching options (pockets, padding / reinforcements, made to measure, etc) was around the same price, and that underarm seam immediately annoyed me when trying it on with just a base layer.

another nice thing about the santis if you get the ring system, you can change a wrist seal without doffing any kit.

we went with the metal zip option expecting a YKK, but got a JQJ brand instead.
