ECO-Day 2017 - NFSAs annual clean-up at Madison

Hey all,

ECO-Day 2017 is scheduled for March 18, 2017, at Madison Blue Springs State Park. If you have time, the park and the NFSA can use your help. If you can attend, let me know here, PM, or the NFSA Facebook page under events.

As in the past, we will work from 8:30AM until noon or so, eat lunch, and give out some door prizes. If you feel like it, there will be time to dive in the afternoon. Use the great new steps at Martz if you like

I will post equipment needs and the list of chores later.

We have a growing list of projects. We will finish the railing at Martz and install 2 benches. Also, in an effort to reduce erosion, rocks will be placed under the deck.

Elsewhere in the park we will paint the inside of the restrooms, install trash cans throughout the park, repair the steps at the head spring, and remove some of the bamboo. This list will keep a lot of folks busy during the day, and I hope we have a good turnout.

Hi all, three weeks until ECO-Day. We have had a few sign up already but we can still use some extra hands. If you can help, let me know. As a reminder, plan to work half a day(8:30 to noon) and we will provide you lunch. So far it looks like conditions may be OK for a dive afterwards.
