    Default Nss/cds instructors to megadive

I will have a booth on April 2 at Ginnie Springs for the NSS/CDS. I am setting up at Turkey Point and we will be promoting overhead diving.
If you are a CDS Instructor please get in touch with me so I can have your card to give to interested divers who desire to start their journey to the Dark Side.
You can PM me and I will send you the information for you to be able to get me your cards.
If any of you instructors would like to help just PM me and I will get you in the booth. Bring your dive gear so you can get a dive or two in.

What he said, I know it's in the NACD standards and I hope it's in the CDS standards, I'd check but I can't be bothered to find the disc...

I always promote safe diving. We all started our dark side by taking the cavern class. Hopefully we will have many instructors explaining the danger of overhead diving without proper training. I see OW Divers entering the eye and the ear without proper gear or proper training.
This is a great opportunity to promote the sport from a safe and educated level. We at the CDS promote Education, Safety, Exploration, and Conservation. Again, all you CDS Instructors come out and help promote safe diving.

HUGE difference in "promoting overhead diving", which I believe is against the rules, and promoting "safe overhead diving" which is not trying to entice people to become trained, but explain to them the danger in not being trained. Massive difference that should be cause for everyone to be very careful in how they explain it... We do not want to promote this sport, that would encourage more divers to get trained and then the caves will be in worse shape than they already are... soapbox over

Considering the location I would think it wise to have more information readily on hand for those that were curious.

Better to direct them down a constructive path than have them try it on their own.
