    Default Nitek Plus question

Ok for those of us still using the Nitek Plus, I have a couple of questions. First, does this thing have a time to fly mode? I know it has a DESAT time, but an actual time of when you can fly? Also I remember diving my HE and my plus together and them being a little different but nothing crazy in regards to NDL times. Today I was doing a fairly shallow OW dive and I also had my Areis XR-2. At one point the Nitek told me my NDL times was 12 minutes, and the XR-2 was over an hour. I don't remember either computer being that conservative.

Any thoughts. Thanks for the replies.

Im pretty sure there is no time to fly mode. Check the conservatism settings on each computer for major NDL differences. I have the manual for the Nite Plus on PDF, I can email it to you if you'd like.

Don't forget, the Plus has a "dive safety factor" setting of either 0 or 1, and 0 means normal and 1 apparently means you want to get in the water and get right back out. I ALWAYS keep mine at 0.

(See page 17 of the manual.)

I dive the plus and a nitek He... Set the same as sludge mentioned. I usually only see a couple minutes in variation with deco times, but nothing that worries me too much

I dive the pluses, and they are WAY conservative, especially compared to the Q. I've been put in "deco" there while others with nearly identical profiles didn't even come close. Yes, this was with the least conservative profile.

Still, they are good little computers and erring on the side of conservative isn't terrible. You can't beat the form factor - watched sized with nearly everything you need.

As far as the original question, I'm not aware of a time to fly mode.
