Default Hart Springs - Dec. 20/14

Conditions are excellent at Hart Springs Black Lagoon right now. The flow has eased t quite manageable and the vis is quite decent. We did not dive in the main spring today but did Black Lagoon. On Nov.1, the main spring flow was nearly undiveable, but I imagine it is fine now.

Last time we were in there (going upstream from Black Lagoon) everything was covered with dark slimy stuff - is that still the case?

Moderate flow; and beautifully blue water as of Sunday. Little Hart has a nice boil on it still.

Just be careful it doesn't reverse while you are in there.

I've seen several comments about reversals; they don't happen instantaneously or violently. It is a gradual progression and on the cusp of a reversal can be the prime time to dive high flow systems. Decoing on the rock at Little River one time I felt like a turnpike toll taker for all the divers going by.

You've seen this? I have experienced reversals in several different systems. Years ago when Little River approached flood stage the word got out and people flocked there for the easy diving.

Please cite where reversals due to rising river levels occur suddenly and violently. It isn't Little River, Manatee, Telford, Hart, or Rock Bluff.
