Members of the ASA Cave Diving Team and invited guests completed a seven hour dive in Indian Springs on Saturday November 23rd 2013. The dive at depths of over 310’ resulted in the discovery of several new leads in crystal clear water. The spider web of lines past the Wakulla Room with numerous 3 way T’s and a few 5 way T’s will take several dives to sort out and clean up. Most of the line in the deeper section leads only a few hundred feet to dead ends. However, members of the ASA Cave Diving Team with the use of side mount gear and CCR found several new passages with large open tunnel. It is exciting to continue the exploration of Indian Springs and only time will tell where the new passages may lead or what system it will connect with. Special thanks to the ASA Cave Diving Team supports divers, Brandon Cook, Steve Mann, David Jones, Steve Cushman, and surface support and coordination Dena Spray. Members of the push team included Nathan Spray, Jonathan Pitt, and John Taylor. Special thanks to Cave Connections and Camp Indian Springs for helping make this exploration a continuing success.
