    Default School Sink

Tagged along with Paul to School Sink for a nice afternoon dive. The blue water from a month ago is gone with salt water from top to bottom. There is still some mxing causing extensive haloclines and the water is clear but hazy (not tannic). Visibility around 30'. Went down Main Street around 1100'. Water temperature was very warm until back at the sink.

    Cheers

    Tony,
You're saying there's no fresh water except the haloclines themselves? Is that "normal" ?

I don't have a lot of experience there, but it is one of my favorite caves.

It is heavily influenced by tides

    Default Halocline

It doesn't take fresh and salt water to make a halocline. Differing degrees of salinity can also create a halocline.

Paul made a comment about the salt water seemed to be closer to the T than a month ago. It definitely tasted salter from the beginning of the dive whereas a month ago the haloclines did not start until right before the bolt snap to Main Street.

I have only dove their twice so my observations are very novice.
