I rode an H-160 at the last social and really liked it, but I wasn't thrilled with the burn time. However, I've been studying on it and as easy as it is to go from 100% power to 50% power, in a cave such as JB I could go in on 100% for forty minutes and then turn around and switch to 50% power and have forty minutes left. That should easily get me out.
Plus, I'm under the impression the H-320 batteries will be out soon, and I could get a set to double the run time for Dive 1 and have a fresh set ready for Dive 2.
I know, I'm rambling, but it would eliminate some hassle to use a scooter that is sold at a shop where I work.

I'm all about LDS's and staying loyal but at 3000'+ penetration (someday) I want what I know is going to work there and back no questions, no stretches, and no failures.
If that's Hollis great, if not then...
My $0.02.
I took a test drive of a Hollis H-160 DPV. The quality, torque, buoyancy and speed was acceptable. I was not use to the graduated 3 speed changing technique on the machine. It took me awhile to get use to it. I had to click (scroll through) the graduated 3 speed control to get it to stop. I am use to my SS where letting go of the trottle, the prop stops. Inside the cave, the 3 LED light was basically worthless since it was wide angled and not that bright. FOR ME, it would be a great OW DPV.
The Hollis ran in a DPV race at the social. It did beat the Mako, but not the SS.
