Dive Locker in Panama City Beach, Florida (850 230 8006 divelocker@divelocker.net) is a Oceanic/Hollis dealer, and will be getting a couple of the scooters any day now according to the Rep.

Did Oceanic buy out X-scooters? That "Hollis" looks a lot like the X-scooter, even down to the aluminum hull. I know they bought the rights to the Prism rebreather.

No they didn't. It's a similar design, but is has a middle screw on the nose that attaches the hull to the bottom of the scooter.

You can also get it with an optional headlight.

They copied the design of the x pretty well (down to the trigger handle), but the "guts" of the scooter are nothing like the X.

I should also mention that when I was at BTS, I asked the Hollis rep where the vent was on their SEALED battery pack. The response was "vent? why do you need a vent on a battery back!"

I smiled and walked away.
