Default Lafayette Blue - what are they building?

I stopped at Lafayette Blue SP today to look at the spring (looks good), but am wondering what is being constructed near the park entrance? They were using a large piledriver to pound in concrete pillars and I was thinking that being underground while that is going on wouldn't be the best idea? Anybody know whats going on there?

Part of the management plan is to build cabins, and since that is on the flood plane, they will elevate structures above the flood plane. The cave goes in a linear fashion from the head spring,to Snake and Green,so unless they are driving in that specific area then it shouldn't be a problem, but might make for some interesting acoustics.

If this is anywhere near one of the sinks, it is likely a boardwalk and stairs down to the water. Last time I was there (a couple of years ago), the ranger on duty told us there were plans to provide access to divers from a different sink. This may be the beginning of the project.

They are building an observation deck on top of the bluff overlooking the spring/river.Also a new parking lot and newer bathrooms. The old bathrooms are fine except their location to the spring.[too close]I heard it was a mismanaged endevor that has costed more than planned already. The nitrates has ruined this system.[my opinion]I dove it in the mid 80's,what a difference.
