Default Cave on Blue Grotto Property?

I remember reading something on here awhile ago about a cave system on blue grotto property that is away from the actual sinkhole. does anyone have any info on that and know if the owner allows people to dive it? I am going to blue grotto with some open water co-workers on thursday, but would love to dive the cave on the property.

If there was, and it was any good, I suspect they would be charging people to dive there

There is a cave on the property but they won't allow you to dive it right now. The owner has something in the works that may allow access in the future.

I believe that the entrance is down a ladder in the pump house.

A few years ago, I asked the owner about it, his response to me was for 5 million dollars I could dive it all I wanted to..... I thought 40 bucks was a little high for Blue Grotto itself, so I passed on the opportunity..

mike is right- a largish room, pretty silty, with no upstream or downstream. There is another cave (room) on other property nearby, but as with most other caves in the newberry plain, it is also just one room with no real upstream/downstream.

The main cave is a large room south of the sink and had a permanent line in it set up as a 300 x 150 ' rectangular trail with diagonals joining the corners. Depths are from 70 ffw to about 20ffw. There is a passage on the south end somewhat like the Peanut Tunnel that necks down to sidemount only.

There is a lot of particulate on the ceiling, as any flow from the commercial cavern carries silt into this section.

I would like to dive it again on a RB for the obvious better vis in the big room. Getting up and down the coupled up aluminum ladders in zero vis and 104's is a thrill ride and it can't be done while wearing fins.
