According to TV20, The state and the owner are trying to work out a deal. According to the news if it goes through the state would own it but Levy county would be responsible for management of it.

Anbody seen a line arrow around here ?

By management do they mean maintaining it as a recreation area or pumping it dry to keep Levy County lawns lush and green?

From what the news said. It sounded like they want to use it as a park. I'm just quoting what I heard on the news this morning and last night. You're in Gainesville, watch tv20 at 6pm and see if they say anything else.

I dove it for the first time a couple of weeks ago with a couple of O/W buddies... It was decent for what it is, but is WAYYYYY overpriced at $40

If the state bought it and turned it into a park, the price would probably go down (I would imagine).

The state bought Morrison Springs and turned it over to Walton County to run. The county in turn opened it up for use with no charge. With luck maybe Levy county will do the same. Biggest concern would be they would turn it into a park and prohibit diving altogether due to liability.

not to stir the pot but whe had a gentleman and his wife who both tought commercial diving for the same company , dive with us(Hall's) yesterday according to them their company(they dont own it) is attempting to purchase it, and use it as a training site. on a lighter note he indicated that the graduates projects were going to be to clense it of the junk thats been dumped in it. course ive noticed that alot of the people that get on our boat especilly when we do the wreck dives, seem to be full of BS.
