I saw the movie (great job Wes!) and at one point they said something like the 14:1 cave diving ratio or rule (I saw it in italian and can't remember the exact words).
What was that?
Thank you.

14 shots before each divej/k
I believe the line is something to the effect that 1 in 14 cave divers dies or something, I heard it too and was wondering where they got that statistic
Actually, 14 out of 14 cave divers will die.

Well!!!??? The cinemaphotography was good and there were some good props but the rest of the movie had a plot that was full of holes and don't even get me started about the explode on impact scooter.
A movie this bad should at least compensate for it's shortcomings by adding several scenes involving gratuitous Female nudity, Sex scenes involving midgets and Liza Minelli impersonators, and a petting zoo.
WHAT!!!?? Oh Yeah. Like I'm the only one who thought this while watching it!!!
P.S. 14 was the films overall overall rating out of a possible 100.

So the trick is just to not be in that 14.Originally Posted by Slüdge

There are 3 kinds of people in this world; those who are good at math, and those who are not.
old cave divers don't die, they just float away....

So if the stat is not 1:14, what is it? I've heard all kinds of analogies, and don't believe any of them.
more people die bowling than cave diving....
more people get struck by lightening while playing golf, than die while cave diving....
your chance of dying is 10 times more likely in plane than cave diving...
etc.
so what's the real ratio? anyone know?
