Default Wakulla looking for volunteers, re: water chemistry

I saw this on Facebook. Perhaps cave divers could get earn some chits by helping out:

World Water Monitoring Day (WWMD) will be held on Saturday Oct 11. WWMD is an international environmental education program to involve local citizens basic water quality monitoring and increase public awareness of local water quality issues.

At Wakulla Springs, volunteers are needed to collect water chemistry information from 4 springs and 20 sinkholes.

If you would like to help in the morning or in the afternoon, please contact me 850-561-7281 or Jackie.M.Turner@dep.state.fl.us.

    Take Care, Jackie

Land of Enchantment -- not so great for cave diving, but mighty scenic!

Not meaning to step on anyone's toes, but IMO they should ask the folks that get to do all the diving there, not us unwanted souls.

You're more than welcome to apply. There were 2 new divers in the water just a few weeks ago.

As we all know I am likely 100% incompatible with the way the WKPP does it.
It does have its positive side as I get to dive beyond where the WKPP finished laying line at virtually any cave in the area I'm diving in now.

    Sorry to hear that.

    Good luck with your exploration.
