Default Healthy Snacks for Dive Trips

I'm curious to hear what everyone brings on dive trips. Some suggestions were found in Kevin's thread, but I thought it might be a good idea to post here.

    Here's a few I've tried.

    Roasted Chickpeas

    Dehydrated Zucchini Chips

Homemade beef Jerky (a LOT less sodium than store bought)

    Dehydrated Cinnamon Apple Chips

Wasabi Almonds (single packs at Publix)

    What are your favorites?

For 34 years, with more than 4000 hours underwater in a variety of environments around the world, my choice of between dive snacks has almost exclusively been brown sugar/cinnamon Pop Tarts. One of the great things about them is that if you run out of Pop Tarts, you can sprinkle a little brown sugar/cinnamon on the box they come in and eat that. It tastes just as good... probably because they're both made of the same stuff.

I suggest soft foods, like bananas and cantaloupe, that way if you bazooka barf through your second stage at deco, the chunks won't clog it up.

    These

They are excellent. I eat them all the time at work as well.

So those, bananas and MRE's are pretty much my snacks. Or those small carrots.

I tend to go high protein snacks like cheese sticks, but I like the pop-tart idea!

Question, when flying aerobatics, why are bananas recommended for breakfast?
Answer, Because they taste the same coming up as when they went down.

?? I thought rice broke down quickly, hence its high glycemic index?

When I first saw this thread, I assumed it was another April Fool joke thread. Diving and healthy snacks, right.
