Kudos to Cave Connections and Amigos

In the cave diving community, gear-related issues are considered especially important, especially to cave divers. In Florida's "cave country," the dedicated individuals who help others deal with especially time-sensitive issues are members of an elite squad of professionals and amateurs. This is one of their stories.


10pm on a Sunday a few weeks ago, Steve and Lindsey met me at Cave Connections, pretty much just so that I could inspect some tanks that I had purchased -- from someone else. Not only that, during the week before, Steve had picked up my new-to-me tanks at Amigo’s so that I didn’t have to go get them myself. Thanks to Wayne allowing the seller to drop off the tanks at Amigo’s, and Steve and Lindsey for being at Cave Connections late on a Sunday night, instead of just driving 7 hours round-trip just to pick up some tanks, I was able to get in a full day of diving at JB and visit with my new bottles before heading home.



After hearing numerous accounts of previous late-night and special favor activities by shop owners, fellow divers, and others, I thought the least I could do was add my experience and gratitude to an already long list.
