    Default Eagle's Nest 2/28/12 upstream

Up stream to randy's at ~500'p and 280' deep had greater than 50' viz, purely light limited as my 21w HID was easily engulfed in the massive size of the cave

water temp was around 75deg, basin was somewhat on the nasty side but it was my first trip so I don't know if it's usually that bad.

Pictures from the trip found here

Don't mind the silly blue gloves I was wearing, my hands were falling apart from clawing through flow and restrictions the previous days at other sites.

Thanks for the pics. Eagles Nest is one of those dives that I have dreamed about doing since I started cave diving ten years ago. When I get home I plan on getting the training I need to do it.

It's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years.

It was a first for both of us so we elected to leave the camera in the basin and just take pics on deco.

This was the first trimix dive I have done where I can honestly say the price I paid for gas fills was 100% worth the dive. I'll definitely be back to this cave as often as finances allow.

Wait until you see it with good visibility. Usually in the summer when the mosquitoes are eating you alive and the basin is murky. If you see the Nest when it's blue you'll think it's worth double what you paid for the helium.

Cool pics. What is in the little shot glasses? Saw them in other albums as well.
