    Default P-valve hose length

Just got a p-valve put on my dry suit by Gambles. Question is how long should the hose be??? Seems to me a 6" hose woud be about right. Routing down left through a hole in dry suit undies. I'm just not sure because the hose they sent me is about 18" long.

    Am I missing something?!?

    What's an average length

Im using a light monkey balanced

    Thanks!

That's in case you want to mount the P-valve down by your ankle to impress people.

Sorta depends on what works best for you.
Some folks prefer to "aim high", route over the waistband and then down. Leaves a little extra room for give and take too.

Others take the low road and route down and out.

You might also consider the exit through your under garment

If you are a tech diver, you should upgrade to a 7-foot hose, wrapped aroung the neck.

Seriously, though, leave the full length. You want some give and flex for when you do a giant stride or have to climb in our out of a dive site. Also makes it easier to hook up in public when there's plenty of slack.
