New Year's social!

I'm posting this in the wrong place because I know some people only read the Main Forum.

We're less than a week out from the CDF Socials. We'll have a cookout at 7pm Friday night at the Ginnie Spring pavilion, and then have a bonfire (and maybe light fireworks), leading up to the best Galaxy Dive known to man, woman, or child. Then we'll have an even larger cookout Saturday from 10am until 4pm at the Little Devil pavilion.

Ginnie Springs Outdoors will be giving us a special entry rate: mention that you're here for the CDF socials and get a two-day pass for $30.00! They'll also be giving us free pavilions, free ice, grills, firewood and such, so a special shout-out goes to my peeps at GSO!

One other thing: we ask people to bring a little something each so the staff of the CDF don't have a huge expense themselves. But just about everything is covered, so if at the last minute you find that you can attend, COME ON!

I am strongly tempted to make a flying trip down and back to attend, but I'm scheduled to work Saturday and Sunday the 1st & 2nd, and my employer would strongly prefer that I show up. Plus all my vacation time and extra money are dedicated to our two week February caving trip. So I'll have to grit my teeth and hang on until Tracy & I arrive in Luraville 6 weeks from tomorrow! Have a great time, everybody!
