Anybody been lately? Last update on Walter's site was 9/5 for OG and late July for Peacock. Thinking about heading there this weekend.
Thanks,
John

I did them both on the 9th. Peacock was full of people with at least 2 classes. You can guess at the conditions. I know that's not much help.
OG was pretty clear with some particles, oddly enough.

We were at P1 on the 12th and it was pretty normal. Almost perfect. Giant thunderstorm went through while we were in the cave. A puddle on the road almost swallowed Sandy's car.
Land of Enchantment -- not so great for cave diving, but mighty scenic!
Just finished vacuuming the inside - had forgotten about the glass from Cow. Still have another month to clean the outside.

Sorry that I missed you guys. Sandy, I really thought that I had replied to your notification. Anyway, what is the "glass from Cow" thing?

On Saturday and Sunday, SG was looking for a place to throw away some broken glass that she had picked off the path at Cow. I told her to throw it on the floor in my back seat. If you saw the condition of my car upon my return, you could appreciate the comment more.
We missed you too but hopefully will catch you next time.
Safe diving,

Last weekend we did the reverse traverse twice, once Sat and then again on Sunday, the viz is great. OG is very greenish and sort of crappy with duckweed all over but once you enter the cavern it is all fine.
Nicholson tunnel is a bit tannic but very doable.
P1 cavern was fine, consider there are ongoing classes and you get the picture, but nothing barbaric.
I do wish there weren't so many "5-toed sloth tracks" all over, though.
Dive safe,

Thanks everyone! Looks like we are go for lift-off.

Dove P1 today. We were the only ones in the park.
Green Basin - Cloudy first 10 ft and then pretty clear. Beautiful in the cave, slightly milky but beautiful anyway.
First Dive - Left Main line to end and jumped right. turned just before Olsen.
Second Dive - Right Main Line gapped through Olsen and turned just before the jump to The Crypt. Surfaced at Olsen on the way back.
