    Default Geography question

I know this forum is more heavily Florida divers. But I've gotten curious as to how many people who post here have EVER been to Mexico or other cave diving sites, so I thought I'd start a poll, but I can't figure out how, so I'll just ask the question.

Me? 90% Mexico. Took my Cave 2 class in Florida, which was a disaster, but have done some fun dives there with friends which weren't. Even in C2, I saw some cave I'd like to go back and visit under less stress.

(I'm a NW expat, lol!)....Two trips to the Yucatan to cave dive and also took cavern/intro there. The rest has exclusively been N Central FL. I'd like to return to MX as well, but my favorite cave dive to date is here in FL

When I came down from Seattle to FL for app/full cave with Rich Courtney, he suggested I arrive early for some acclimation dives before my class. He set me up with a local diver for a buddy, and off we went. Imagine my surprise entering the Devil's Ear for the first time with Mexican caves as my only baseline of experience! Rich's advice was much appreciated and valuable.

I have dove both Mexico and Florida. I will be spending a week in Mexico next month. Most of my cave diving has been in Missouri.

This year I WILL dive a cave outside of Florida... although it might just be Georgia, Alabama, or Tennessee.

One day I'll be able to afford a trip outside the US, but its not this year :P

Not that I'm complaining... there's a HUGE variety of cave to dive in Florida.

Cave Diver Arrow Just Florida so far...

All of my cave dives thus far (155) have been in Florida. I've done a few dives in the overhead in a flooded marble quarry here in Vermont, but I don't call 'em cave dives.

I'm having increasingly frequent thoughts of the Yucatan and the Bahamas!

Heh, I had the same problem first time I wanted to post a poll. You can only post polls (any topic) in the POLLS subforum.

I have only dived in N FL. Then again I have only dived in caves < 2 years (4 trips), and big chunk of it I was out-of-order and not really daring to plan any trips abroad (read: drive&easy-cancel only).

I am actively wanting to go to Mexico caves (and elsewhere) but I want to get Full Cave first (am App only). I am a little intimidated about nav issues there, and want more practice.

I would say 65% Florida, 35% Mexico. I have an open invitation to dive in Missouri with a friend, but haven't made it there yet.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world; those who are good at math, and those who are not.

Caves....Florida, Missouri, Mexico (lost count) & Bahamas, specifically, Abaco.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Approaching 270 post-full cave dives, all in Florida except 10 in Mexico last month, and 10-15 in Tennessee. One "close call" in Missouri, but the caves didn't cooperate! I did dive there....brrrrrrr.......hit total darkness at 150' and proceeded to tuck myself under a rock ledge...that's overhead, right?
