I don't know that one. My Nytek has lasted eight years and the service has been great. Cindy![]()

Is very cool. One of my buddies traded in his Vyper for one. 3-gas deco computer, hoseless gas integrated, built-in digital compass, and an attractive watch as well.
Not a big visual display, but that's the trade-off for a watch-size unit.
My buddy is quite pleased with his investment. I still prefer my VyTec.

Better then a personal thong.

Not if you want to use it as a gas switch computer.Originally Posted by Gasman
It does not calculate the gas switch effects until you make them, so at the bottom you are not informed correctly about your deco status. Same problem as the Vytec.

Suunto D9 price:
The Suunto Reduced Gradient Bubble Model, SRGBM. Price: 395 Euro
Is that good value?
Does anyone know of good links to review pages, that takes up diving computers?
I've done some dives with buddies that have Suunto computers. I personally use Niteks with ZHL-16.
If you follow a bubble model type of ascent, ie. deep stops, slow ascents, etc. and deco out on O2 they seem to clear deco about 2 minutes after the Niteks clear their NDL safety stops.
They seem to punish repet dives, fast ascents, etc. all out of proportion.
Really conservative, perhaps better left to recreational divers?
Hard to say.

Peter

Computers are one of those things that are a very personal choice and in some cases an absolute nightmare when things go wrong.
Please keep all manual pressure gauges in place if using transmitters. Some computers will reset themselves when the tanks are turned off. Yikes batman.
From messing around with these electronic jewels please note the following things.
You need all decompression information in minutes –not circles or bars.
You need to understand the algorithm the computer is using.
Is the algorithm padded- they all are to a certain extent.
Look at what other experienced divers are wearing and their thoughts about the units.
If diving with a regular team how do the algorithm compare to other computers in the team.
Does the computer represent you philosophy of decompression?
How much would like to spend?
I helped my girlfriend and she purchased the Diverite Duo and I just love that little jewel. Two gases, PPo2 on the fly, Nitrox, Oxygen bars, multiple screens, BIG LETTERS, and good backlighting- awesome. But that is just my humble opinion.
