    is this old news? I thought the two were connected in 2012 through a dry passage

    This is the connection. Nohoch was already part of Sac Aktun, connected by Robbie Schmittner and Steve Bogaerts, I think about six years ago.

    There was a dry connection, but this is about wet cave and that connection is new. There is a larger dry cave, Mammoth cave with over 650km (405m).
