    Default Sidemount hose routing

Does anyone have pictures to share of hose routing while wearing the rig? I'd like to see how you have your hoses routed please.

    We're still fine tuning.....

    TIA!

I route my hoses over my neck and have right-hand and left-hand second stages. A surgical tube loop over my head with 2 small loops hanging down about 6" is how I secure the mouth pieces when not in use.

There is no one set way to configure sidemount gear. Everyone has their own way. It's just a matter of playing with your gear and making several dives until you find the right configuration that suits you.

I'm not sure how visible this will be, but here's an inadvertant self-portrait, showing the hose routing with Poseidens. I've been running the inflator under my arm, that seems to work better for me. I just cross the regs over on my chest and bungee them to my shoulder straps. The hose always points to the tank you're breathing from. You'll notice that it's pretty easy to lay stage bottles on top of the bottom mix tanks, I've got a 40 on my right side if you look closely.

    Default Nice this about Poseidens

That is one of the really nice things about Poseidens no right side up.

Yeah, they're not pretty or the latest technology, but they are reliable and make it much easier to set up a sidemount rig.

I have a bunch of them set up identically with inflators and short spg hoses, so they are interchangeable as bottom mix, stage or deco regs, and I keep one with a long hose on it.
