Cave Diver Arrow Found: One Halcyon Non-Directional Marker in Devils Spring Run.

One white halcyon non-directional marker found October 18th, 2012 in the spring run between Devils Ear and Devils Eye. Was not present October 14th or October 16th. Two initials are written in black marker on both sides. If you want to claim it, send me a PM with your initials and an address and I will return it to you via USPS for free

every time something is posted that's lost or found in FL, we can count on you to make this same comment ....
guy, there are hundreds of people in these caves each month doing many hundreds of dives. These things will happen. When other places see this kind of traffic, it will happen there too. One thing I've learned about traveling the world for the last 15 years (and living and really dealing with people from other places) is that as Stevie and Paul say: "people are the same wherever you go."

yes, however it's also traditional in these threads for someone to post angrily about how losing a cookie is cave littering...Which usually starts some back and forth and finally the cookie less diver posting apologetically about losing the cookie with a cool epic story of getting turned around in the passage. Pretty good for less than $2 a cookie.

Littering? Not so fast. Perhaps they are now part of the environment and ought to be considered historical in nature and left for everyone to "enjoy". Preserved in stasis for those that have yet to truly appreciate the decorative aspects.

It may depend on how long they have been there, who lost them, or if they have initials that can readily be converted to mine with a Sharpie.

    (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Hey, it could have sentimental value! It could be someone's first cookie!
