Post New Cave Diving article in Outside Magazine online

    Outside article: https://www.outsideonline.com/217194...final-frontier

After reading the article, you may wonder about an unfinished story at the beginning. In case anyone is interested, tooth enamel can be eroded away by acids in the stomach of a predator, so finding a small skull with no enamel in a cave with big crocodiles...well, you get the idea... pretty cool

You can read more about the paleontology side of this work at the new website (www.Antillothrix.com)

Also, on the Project Antillothrix Facebook page you'll see news about new discoveries (a new skull was JUST described this week!) and the new exhibit opening in Santo Domingo this summer: https://www.facebook.com/ProjectAntillothrix/

Just curious, who finances trips like these? Is it university? I want in on it!

Or maybe just outside over the weekend. Look at the bright side, sometimes, silence is better than some of the responses you can get on forums!

At any rate, this is cool, thanks for sharing!

Bent, research grants from various institutions support the expeditions. NSF, Nat Geo, and the NSS among them.

Madagascar is my favorite country now. Absolutely stunning place. And that's BEFORE you get to the caves. Patrick and others on the expedition assembled an underwater museum for cave and cavern divers to tour. First ever underwater paleontology museum, hopefully the first of many!

Kensuf - you are 100% correct. I would have been more in tune with your point if only I had weekends anymore!
