Things are getting kind of cold around here, and I can’t really get to cave country until I take care of some things at work. Thus, I cleaned out the car, took an inventory of my stuff, and have a few things for sale (wow, the car looks a lot more spacious, and rides a lot higher; and the apartment looks a lot smaller).
I’m selling a couple HID lights, numerous miscellaneous items (mostly small stuff), and some books. I’ll accept Paypal at no additional charge, or of course personal check, and cash is king if you meet me at my home in downtown Minneapolis. I’m including shipping to the lower 48 on all items, and if elsewhere, let me know, and I’ll calculate it.
First the HID Lights (I don’t really need 4 HID light systems, so letting a couple go):
1. Sartek Canister and lids with 4.5 amp NIMH Battery. Includes charger. Note this does not come with a light head (a compatible Sartek light head can be found below, and this canister will work with any other light head). Includes an E/O - Wetmates connection. I recently burn tested this light. I came out with 105 minutes with a 18 watt HID, thus it should give about 3.5 hours with a 10 watt HID. I’m including the written instructions from Sartek for this light. It is currently configured to be mounted on a backplate, but I can easily be modified to mount on the waistband with 2” webbing. $175 US Shipped.
2. Sartek 18 Watt HID Slug, Complete. Includes Bulb, Ballast, Test Tube, Cord, E/O - Wetmates connection, strain relief, etc. Works with the above canister, though not with a lot of burn time (as stated above); and of course with the below Reflector / Goodman Handle. This Slug includes rather brief instructions from Sartek. $300 US Shipped.
3. Sartek Reflector and Goodman Handle. Fits the above slug, as well as those from Halcyon and Salvo, and probably others. The Goodman handle is the rigid version, which is fully adjustable in both height and width. $75 US Shipped.
All 3 of the items above combined look like this: http://www.golemgear.com/p-106-sarte...h-battery.aspx If you want actual pictures of this light or its components, please let me know.
Now Miscellaneous Items (including a fair amount of little stuff):
5. Casio 2499 W-96H Digital Watch. I know it is only rated to 50 meters, but a couple weeks ago I decided to see if it worked at depth, I took it to 180 feet, and it worked just fine. It would make a nice secondary timing device. More information about this watch, and a link to the Owners Manual can be found here http://www.generalmanual.com/Watches...ic-Watches.htm $10 US Shipped.
6. Dive Rite 2.5 inch stainless steel bands for 8 inch diameter tanks, includes bolt kit. These bands are about five or six years old, but in very nice shape. - $70 US Shipped.
10. DUI Drysuit Inflation Hose – 24 Inch. This is brand new. This is the shorter version of their hose, the longer version is 36”. $45 US Shipped.
14. Ten New Viton O-Rings Size AS568 -111, Brown, 90 Duro. These are the ones that work pretty well with the Apeks Din Connection (i.e. the smaller Din connection O-Ring). I have no idea how I ended up with so many of these (well over 30), but as I was cleaning out my gear box, I found a bunch of these in little plastic bags. I must have had a fear of running out, and always stocked up when I found them. $5 US Shipped for a bag of 10.
15. Apollo Prestige Stowable Snorkel. Perfect for an open water instructor or dive master who is required to have a snorkel, but would rather have it stashed in one’s drysuit pocket rather than attached to one’s mask strap. I’ve only used it a couple times looking at fish in the Caribbean and checking out the manatees at Crystal River. It folds up nicely in one’s pocket. $15 US Shipped. Looks like this: http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/APLSP.html
16. Wagan Tech Power Inverter – this one http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=1162 Not really diving related, though I’ve used this to charge dive gear related things in my car and on a dive boat. This is the same inverter Salvo sells or used to sell. It has very little use. $20 shipped.
20. For the electronically inclined: 4 Anderson Powerpole Connectors and contacts and wire leads – 75 Amp. These are the bigger one’s – almost 2 inches long. Includes 1 full set black / red. And two individual black. They include the contacts and two attached longer leads with ring terminal connectors and two very short leads which are cut off. Also included is a piece of insulated wire about eight inches in length with ring terminal connectors on each end – I’m not sure of the gauge of wire, but they are there for you to see and measure. These came off a Silent Submersion scooter wiring harness that crapped out due to a small user error electrical fire. I salvaged them just because I didn’t want to throw them away for they were not damaged in the fire (more smoke than fire, but regardless, I have a whole new respect for electricity). $5 US Shipped for this lot.
22. Condom Catheters. I’ve got a small assortment of them; obviously new in package. 3 Rochester wide bands (1 Medium, 1 Intermediate, 1 Large) and 2 Mentor Medium Catheters. Thinking of getting a pee-valve, and not sure what size of catheter to get? - Get them all and have a rather intimate evening with yourself and test them out. $1.50 for the first one, and 50 cents for each additional one purchased – Shipped. In other words $1.50 for one, $2 for two, $3.50 US for the lot of five, etc.
23. Spare mask strap, Black. Standard mask strap that came off a new mask, I think it was Scubapro or Cressi Sub, but should fit all, good for your gear box for a spare. $2 US Shipped.
24. OMS Pressure Gauge Boots, New. These are for the small OMS Pressure Gauges. Should also fit other newer smaller pressure gauges, so long as they are the thicker one’s, like Halcyon, Highland Millworks, etc. (though not the small thin one’s like Dive Rite, Salvo, and the Halcyon slim version). I also don’t think they would work with the older Scubapro spgs (the kind with notches on the outer retaining ring). $2 for one or $3 for both – Shipped.
25. Two Sheathed Hose Clamps, New. These are made with #56 Stainless Steel Hose Clamps, which fit cylindrical items 3 1/16” – 4” in diameter (i.e. aluminum 6 cf argon bottles or most 13.5 amp Nimh canister lights. Sheathing is tubular webbing (black over most of the clamp, and red over the screw). $7 US for the Pair.
26. Two Sheathed Hose Clamps, New, with D-Ring Holders and 1” D-Rings. Same as above, but set up to butt mount (in my case an argon bottle for sidemount, but could also be used for a larger diameter canister light). $10 US for the Pair.
27. Tank Caddy. Pretty simple little devise comprised of “T” handle with finger grooves, some relatively thick braided line, a Fastex Barreloc, and a sheath of rubber tubing. Used to carry a tank by the valve, especially useful when you already have one up on your shoulder. $2 US Shipped.
And Books: I figured since I’m listing a bunch of stuff, I might as well include some books from my apartment.
First some TDI (Technical Diving International) textbooks. I’m not sure what these are worth, or if these are current editions, but regardless these are good guides (though note, these are textbooks, thus they may have some writing in them; classes are usually taken on a rocky boat, pickup truck tailgates, picnic tables, or otherwise non class room settings; and I have a rather aggressive house cat with very sharp claws who like’s to pick at things lying on the edge of the couch; thus I can’t guarantee these TDI textbooks look like new):
28. Understanding Nitrox: Using Enriched Oxygen Mixtures from Air to 40% for Recreational Diving. 2001 Rev 4 - $10 US Shipped.
34. Cavern and Cave Diver Manual – 1998. - $10 US Shipped.
And a few more books – all books are soft cover unless noted otherwise:
41. Underwater Wonders of the National Parks. $10 US Shipped.
42. The Last Dive by Bernie Chowdhury. $7 Shipped.
Pictures of any and all of these items are available upon request, and just to reiterate, shipping is included in the above prices and Paypal is accepted without any surcharge, and of course you can pickup at my home in downtown Minneapolis. If you want to see any photos of these items, send me an email or a personal message with your email address, and I’ll send photos via email. My email address is kirkandtiger@lycos.com - Kirk
