    Default wtb lp85

I am looking for one Faber lp85. I purchased one off ebay...missed the other and want to double them up.

Let me know what you have.

    Thanks

One small caveat here: just because two cylinders are of the same make and size, they aren't necessarily compatible for being doubled up together. I've seen discrepancies of 3/4" in height.

Even the same original hydro year is no guarantee.

You might have some problems with getting them togather if they are not the same. Even same brand but differant batches can be differnt and getting them bolted up is not only a pain but can be dangerous if they are not the same heigth.

Just a thought before you run into that problem and get mad thta you did not get a set togather.

    Okay....thanks for the info.

Guess I will just use the single 85 for single tank diving..or sell it.

IMHO that is BS. Sounds like the recent LDS thread about this on TDS or what is it here...

I would be curious to hear your argument on this. If the tanks aren't the same height, when put together they are made to fit on top and the differences shows up at the bottom. At worse the set sits at an angle. No more/less stress on manifold and bands than matching tanks.

Just siad it was a Pain to set them up. Neck sizes can be differant and when you do measuerments can be off some. With neck eing differant you might not get them on the same place of each tank.

True the bands of good quality will protect the manifold but with them being unstabel and easyr to top over can cause damage to the manifold. I even have a set of 95's that are miss matched. They lean different when I lean them up against a wall. I did solve this will putting boots on them. Yes I do have A set of tanks with boots. This has not been a problem or caused a problem. I do have 2 differant brands of boots on them also.
