Ginnie used to sponsor a river cleanup day which required you work 8am-noon, and could dive free (with free air) the rest of the day.
When is this, or is it no longer going on?

Santa Fe River cleanup days have been held in the past in October. Do a search on "Ginnie cleanup." I tried to post a search, but it brought up some stuff from the Moderator section.

I hope this is around next year. I'll make sure to add one more to the NACD member list in attendance. Being a college student, air fills can very easily bribe me.
The river needs to be clear and the tubing season pretty much over for it to be worthwhile.
NACD is hoping to sponser a cleanup in the near future and is looking for locations. I'm told that in the past the target was usually Telford. Obviously, now we need a new site, but somewhere similar where nobody really takes responsibility would be the best.
Suggestions?
I'd love to see NACD do a cleanup at a site where diving is not currently allowed, for obvious reasons, wasn't that how hart was reopened?
Whenever Ginnie does their next cleanup, I'm 99.9999% sure I can get as many starving college student divers as they need.

I have helped out on a couple of cleanups, one at Ginnie, one other on another section of the Santa Fe, and have also organized one out of Ginnie.
I very well might set up another one sometime in October, as the one I set up was well attended.
