    Default what are the chances?

    Hi,
We are planning to get to FLA next saturday, march 15for one week of "cave diving"... We are 24 hrs drive from north Florida. I know that conditions varry verry rapidly but in your opinion, what are the chances that the conditions improve in the next week?

Also, if the conditions stays the same, what caves are open right now, including Trimix caves?

I try to follow on the Dive reports but it gets confusing sometimes...

    Thanks

    Phil

He meant zero chance of improvement in the next week.

Right now, Ginnie Springs, Jug Hole, Manatee, Eagle's Nest, Jackson Blue (plus Twin, and Hole in the Wall), there are also a couple that require a guide, Alachua, and Indian. There are also some caverns like 40 Fathoms.

    Did I forget any?

Cypress's cavern(and the cave too I'd imagine - not backmountable though) is divable, but requires a boat/canoe.

Several of the panhandle springs that require a boat are likely divable despite a flooded basin.

Are theses all dooable by shore? Does Twin and Hole in the wall requires a boat?

Twin and Hole are much easier by boat.

Twin requires a 300 meter + swim if done from the nearest public boat launch. Hole is probably about the same off the back of Edd's property, closer from Hole in the Wall house - either way, a boat makes it a hellovalot easier.

You should re-schedule and come down Memorial Day Weekend and come to the 2008 NSS-CDS Workshop/Convention...........................you won't regret it!
