    Default cave line

Just curious What size braided nylon line do you use for exploration in a new system? Is most of the line used for non-gold line passages #36? Thanks. Bill Huth

    Not that I've laid a lot of line...wish I did more!! But I've used both #24 & 36, I prefer 24.

It's strength is adequate for most of the caves around here and you can fit more of it on a reel than you can #36

Some guys use #18 over 24 for the same reason.

High flow systems, maybe use #36

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
