Thread: Little River

    Default Little River

If anyone hasn't been to Little River recently now is the time to go. We were there last weekend and the flow is almost non-existent.

I saw Ken Hill poking into all kinds of places. I spoke to him after the dive and he was talking about looking for more signs of "DIC". If I understand him correctly, they (he) are very close in identifying who was responsible. Something about it not being initials?

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Is theft still a problem at LR? Cars being broken into, etc...?

    Thanks!

Denise and I spent the afternoon on Saturday at Little River. Walter is right about the flow... hardly any, and crystal clear. Nothing stolen from our vehicles either...

I was the first one there Saturday morning. Someone did drive thru the parking lot real slow and left without stopping. That caught my attention; but since he was dressed in camo, I assume he was looking for the deer we saw in the woods.

I have been there several times recently and left tanks, etc. in the back of the truck and nothing has went missing. However, the Ranger was there most of the day working on the most recent trip.

I was at LR a few days ago. Not only is there almost no flow, the viz is wonderful. The cave is beautiful!

Bummer, we missed you guys! We were there Saturday morning. Nothing stolen.

I've dived LR several times over the last few months, early morning, late afternoon, weekday, weekend, empty parking lot, full parking lot, and so far, never had anything bothered with. Most of the non-divers I've met there are curious about what we are doing, and very friendly, especially if one takes the time to answer their questions.

I have noticed a lot more hunters recently, but that's to be expected.

The system is great right now, viz and flow. Enjoy your dives.

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.
