    Default Swamp No More

Went to Buford Sink yesterday. Due to the lack of any rain the swamp between the end of the road and the sink is gone. We slogged our tanks out to the edge of the sink before going back to the road and suiting up. The water was great but viz is down a little. The stream that runs down to Little Gator Sink has dried up. Lots of footprints in the swamp area but no one is sinking up to their knees. If you've waited to dive this site, now is the time.
Oh, and there is something large that bumped my buddie in the leg as we were gearing up in the shallow water!

Thanks for the update...it'd be great to get out there. How are the skeeters?

    Default No Skeeters

Just a lot of horse flys and they can really bite.

There is that otter that lives around there.
He likes to snort when you show up at his hole.
Irritate him and i'm sure he will give you a nip in the pee valve.

    Default Big Wiggly

I think that it was a fish that thought he could swim under my leg just as I sat back but in the silty water and knowing there is snakes around there I moved and let him go his way Note to self it is easier to fly in sidemount.

Two gators usually live in that area...They are a few years old now o they should be getting bigger.
