    Default Swampy

I was there several times during the Christmas week. It was pretty swampy by the dock, but the basin was clear(ly covered with mung), Ballroom and upstream had great viz.

I did a dive at the Nest on Friday 12/29/06. The roads were dry with the exception of a couple of large puddles of water within a mile from the Nest. The sand dunes on the road were smoothed out. Lots of hunters were out and about.

The water level is higher than normal, so the path to the dock had some water in places. The basin had about 20’ of visibility with lots of algae mats. The cavern had about 20’ of visibility and cave varied 20’ – 40’ with downstream being clearer. I saw lots of Catfish in the cavern when I entered. They were swimming up in the water column.

3 of us made 3 dives over 2/10 & 2/11/07 - The road is in good shape. The basin is very clear. Vis all the way to the Super Room was at least 60 feet.

Let's point the nose cone toward the upstream tunnel and mash the button down.
