Madison Blue is open

After diving this afternoon I went by Madison Blue on my way home to check the conditions. They had just removed the closed sign today. I looked at the basin and it looked to have about 30ft vis in a slightly tannic-green water. There were two divers there and they said that once you get to the main line it clears up nicely to about 50-60ft vis. The bad water is coming from the cross-under tunnel. A quick look at Martz Sink showed it to be clear and diveable. The ranger there told me the water level has been dropping about 6 inches a day since last Saturday. At that rate it should be nice by the weekend.

Anyone been to Madison lately? I was thinking about making a trip out that way on Monday.

Madison blue is closed, flooded and blown out way past Martz is what the Ranger said (she wouldnt let us dive). Didnt think to check the state parks website for conditions, we ended up taking another 2 hours to find a dive site that was open! ( went with plan C-telford).
