one of the dive retailers in the retail thread offered special deals just before new years. complete argon kits (bottle, reg, hose, spg, fill kit, and maybe mount) are 350 normally, but check the thread and email an offer. It may be too late, but a hundred off might be possible and it will be new and everything you need. I am not an employee, do not know the shop or any of the employee's and am not trying to sell anything to anyone. Also, I can't say if it's good or bad product and/or service.

I checked the post, then the shop website (linked in the post) and saw they had argon setups in various size bottles and was glad I did not "win" a used argon set up on ebay that went for 225.00. The examples they give in the post suggest they may wheel and deal a hundred or so off list price - and they say be sure to say you got the info from the cave divers forum.

Thanks Skip for the info. I went to their website, indeed they listed $350 for the set without tank mount bands. I can buy online brand new first stage+OPV for $85 and tank 14cuft w/DIN for $125 shipping included. Therefore i think if someone wants to "cleanup a garage" my offer for that setup is not as bad as it looks at first. And if not - i'm not in a hurry
