Default DIN conversion kit for Scubapro MK3

I have 2 Scubapro MK3 regs...yes, they are ancient - but they are in great shape, well maintained and bullet proof. Nothing I plan on using in the caves, seats not really O2 compatible, but I have two kids that are getting their open water and I have a few rebuild kits for the regs. I only have DIN tanks that I use with my MK25's and really don't like the yoke adapter reliability, but want to continue to use the regs - until a museum gets them. Can anybody give me a lead on where I might pick up one or two Scubapro MK3 DIN conversion kits?

It's been awhile since I worked on a Mark 3, but I believe it takes the same retainer as a Mark 2. If so, the part number you need is 10.045.030 (DIN Conversion Kit Universal).

The old retainer fit just a Mark 2 (or 3), and another retainer fit the Mark 10 (and 15, 20, 25 etc.). They had the o-rings in different places. The new Universal retainer has o-ring slots in both places, so you can use one on a Mark 2 and the other on everything else.

However, the 10.045.030 retails for $69, so that may be a dealbreaker.

Thanks Sludge, good info - I didn't know there was a universal, but it makes sense. Yes the MK3 is the same as the MK2 and since Scubapro stopped supporting it, well...makes it tough to even consider hanging onto.

Any idea if the DIN conversion that many places sell for $49 is the universal or is it specific to the MK25 et al and won't cover the MK2/3?
