    Default PSI Cylinder Inspection

Just did a PSI Visual Cylinder Inspection class with Dave at Adv Hydro... Guys I know a lot of you have more tanks than I do. This class will save you $$$ and was SUPER informative. It made the trip to Florida worth it even if I didn't get to do a proper cave dive while I was here.

    Had to share.

I've saved quite a bit of money having my inspection cert. It's really easy when you have alot of sidemount tanks too. It sounds awful, but my doubles are all older tanks with some minor pitting and they always need to be tumble a little bit. I always drop those off at a shop in cave country to be done because by the time I pull the doubles apart, inspect, tumble, and reassemble it's cost me more in time than the cost the shop charges me. I have a tumbler and all of the media and will tumble all of my stage and sm tanks if need be, but the doubles are always too much hassle. The one thing I did learn in the course is that the vipping is easy. It's the cleaning, tumbling, and whipping that's a pain.

Dave and I both offer PSI training in Florida. He is closer to Eagles Nest and I'm up in Wakulla County. I don't want to take students away from him, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience. But if my location is more convenient I am happy to do a course if someone needs one.

    Dave has a website, advancedhydrotest.com

Yeah... didn't mean to JUST put emphasis on Dave's being able to teach the PSI class... the class is worth the time and $$ no matter who teaches it.... though I am preferential.... any time I am around Dave I feel like a sponge just soaking up his knowledge and experience.
