Jackson Blue Update

Team was out from the state measuring flow and they said it's up a little from what it has been lately. Flow is still WAY down and kicking to 2600' took right at 60 minutes. Viz has been fantastic all week.

Construction continues around the spring at Jackson Blue. The major excavation has been completed and the crew is installing the concrete block retaining wall where they've cut back the hillside behind the diving board area. Parking by the shelters is limited to unloading/loading as they are using that area for staging construction materials.

ALERT: Mill Pond is supposed to be drawn down up to 6 feet starting November 12th to allow construction crews to replace the existing retaining wall around the main spring.

Makes me to hold a breath when spring "improvements" are going. I always wanted to learn about collapsed entrances after long time ago done "authorized damage" to several springs along St.Johns River which made caves inside too dangerous to enter today.

I agree, those large slab rocks in the cavern weren't placed there.
