Thread: Mini Booster

    Default Mini Booster

Selling my GAF mini booster. It's been great for the last year and a half or so when I bought it new, but the $1600 bill for a 200ft3 of helium has convinced me to upgrade to an electric booster to scavenge the tanks waaaaay down.

This is air-driven from a BC hose, and has 1/4 NPTM for the supply and outlet gas. I have an extra set of piston seals and a user/maintenance manual.

$750 (net to me, so send as gift, pay the fee, etc.) and I'll cover shipping to the US. I will ship worldwide, so contact me and we can work out the costs.

not to discourage you to sell, but have you thought about 2-stage boosting? Those should still be able to go down to a 150-200psi inlet and if you boost into an intermediate bottle, even an al80, then boost from there into the CCR bottles. Probably get 1000-1500 into the AL80, but then you can get "real fills" out of that. It may be more economical than $7k on an electric booster

    food for thought

I haven't researched boosters that much... can this be used for O2 or is it inert gas only?

I already have the electric booster, so moot point now. I thought about keeping the mini for "expedition fills", but the truth is I haven't needed to fill tanks anywhere other than my house, and the wife wants money back into the bank account after purchasing other toys.

It's an o2 booster. I've used it 95% for o2, although I occasionally topped off a dil tank when I was too lazy to drive to the shop for a fill.
