Hi Guys,
I've been in the Catacombs last week.
There's a line very slack between the points and completely loose at one end.
It seems to be there since some time and it seems more a forgotten one.

I assume you mean a line on a reel that someone ran, not that someone placed line. If it's a reel, somebody should pull it.

Just in case you're not aware of this; the Catacombs have NEVER had a permanent line installed. That area is a dedicated training area for new students learning to run reels for the first time. The proximity to the front of the cave makes for a perfect location for not only new students but divers who have been away from this area for a while and need to tune up their skills.
As "rddvet said, if there is a reel there, then someone should pull it out and turn it in to the Ginnie office. I'll be out of town until the end of May but if any of you guys on the Forum have an extra minute or two on your next dive, check this out please.

I know those rules, that's why it was strange. No reel, no spool.
I didn't take it away because I wasn't sure if someone was doing any skill, reported to Cave Country then I left (unfortunately it was the last day).

yeah i did see line left in there a couple weeks back when i was toying around in SM. didnt pay too much too it since it saved me hassle. I know there's been survey efforts / classes that may have left it there (just speculating)

No, just inside Catacombs.
