    Default Little River 2/12/2017

Dove LR today. Vis in basin is under 10', but clears to 30'ish at the sand in front of the cave. Flow was moderate, noticeable, but swimmable without pull/glide. Only went to the T and viz was the same 30' throughout the cavern/cave. The stop sign is gone (post is still there, but sign is obliterated). More silt than normal of course. Saw several albino crayfish in the chimney.

Just got back from Little River (afternoon 2/14/2017). Water level in the run is a foot over the retaining wall. Slight boil visible. Visibility in run 20 feet, 30-40 feet in cave. Flow moderate to low for LR. Quite a bit of silt on floor and walls. In via Merry-Go-Round, turned just past the far end of the Florida Room, out via Serpentine. Vis consistent throughout. Fortunately the 20 foot deco stop is in warm cave water and not in cold river water! Very nice dive.

Good to hear things cleared out before you have to go back north!

What is this "back north" you speak of? We still have one more day of diving! We are denying the existence of a place called "Vermont" and a substance called "snow" for as long as possible!

Just remember, most people that move to Florida to cave dive end up quitting diving in a couple years. You know some of them.

Yup, just like people that move to Vermont because they like skiing.

We only get to do between 35 and 40 cave dives a year, but after 12 years we're still doing it.
