No NACD at BTS

Looking at the Beneath the Sea exhibitor map I don't see NACD anywhere.

I, for one, am disappointed. I had so many questions. Such as:

"Oh, you still exist?"

and

"Why?"

and

"In the end, who had the card printer? Was it Col. Mustard in the Library?"

Or even better, NACD(a) and NACD(b), each with a booth, hopefully right next to each other.

For those who live in and around cave country and get to see other cave divers often or actually get to dive often, I can see why a distant show would seem to be a waste. For those who live in distant places and spend time Jonesing for the caves, it's a chance to catch up and feel connected.

I just googled this show, you realize it's in New Jersey right? Why in the world would anyone willingly go to New Jersey?


I will avoid that state like the plague because of how they treat law abiding gun owners. I read an article about a guy who had an unplanned layover in NJ and the airline forced him to get a hotel. He had a concealed carry weapon in his checked bag that was legal at his start point and his planned destination. The airline called the police and they arrested him at the hotel.


I'll just keep my sidearm on me and stay out of that state and let some sane state get my money.

You know, it's a miracle I made it through 30 years of my life in Jersey without ever needing to carry a gun around like a binky.

Edited: I just ran back through the math and it was more like 20. I probably wouldn't have survived 30 with all the gun-fights that break out constantly that I just managed to barely not ever see ever.

It isn't the gun fights that concern him... it may or may not be all of the muggings, rapes, stabbings, etc that could be prevented or stopped beforehand. Buy let's not get WAY off topic... back to the subject at hand.
