Default For Sale: Experimental LED light heads w/ cord

A former colleague designed and built a light for his own use and decided to make a small run of them to sell. They were for swapping out on older Dive Rite or other canisters with small HID heads. These LED units were tested to 250ft in a pressure pot. However, they come without any guarantees, batteries, canisters, or installation. It’s up to the buyer to do the installation themselves. I (or we) won’t offer any refunds or service on this as it was experimental. However, two units have been in the field for some time without issues. Power consumption is relatively low and seems to get 5-6hrs on a NiMh battery in a Dive Rite canister. Unfortunately I know little about the technical specifications for these and can only say that I shined both a 21w Light Monkey and this head and got almost identical beam sizes at the same distance. The LED module looks different though. The body 36mm dia x 50mm long and is powder coated aluminum. I have 6 available. This is a great item for a hobbyist who bought Vance’s book years ago and has some canisters laying around which could use an upgrade. Price is $200 firm, including shipping (us only), and if you are in Florida I will cover the sales tax too. Please check out the photos below. If you have questions please PM me but I can't guarantee I can answer technical questions.

Can they be turned on and off at the light head? Do they have whatever module is necessary to work with a power source that is approx. 12v? For example, when I retrofitted my 10w HID to LED, the manufacturer asked whether I had a battery or was I getting a new one. My understanding is that all the LED's are driven by 4.5v, so to use a 12v battery, there needs to be a module or circuit in the light head to step down the voltage. On the upside, turns out my 12.4v battery give more that 13hr burn time with the LED. Thanks for any info.

There isn't a switch at the head. It will work off 12v and has the necessary circuits for that. Thank you.
