Default Questions for my upcoming cavern trip...

Hey everyone, thanks for all the great advice regarding my upcoming cavern tour next week. As I'm getting down to the nitty gritty, I have a growing list of questions.

First off, where exactly is Jug Hole located within the Ichetucknee State Park? Here is a map of the park but I don't see a mention of Jug hole anywhere. http://www.floridastateparks.org/ich...tuckneeMap.pdf

On the tampadiving website http://www.tampadiving.com/sections/...stem.asp?ID=44 it says that the spring is located in the spring run channel of Cedar Head Spring, where exactly is that? Thanks. Also, at Ichetucknee is access via the Iron Ranger like Peacock?

The north entrance off Hwy 27. It's about a quarter mile walk from the parking area.

Jug hole is also known as Blue Hole or Blue Spring.

Yeah that is a very nice photo.
Jug/Blue Hole is a great dive Andre. It's spectacularly beautiful and I don't think very many people dive it due to the distance it is from the parking lot. At least not as many as dive some of the other sites. The book "Diving Guide to Underwater Florida" has the distance to the Spring as 200 yards. They must have measured that as the crow flies. Wearing doubles it feels more like 200 miles. I'll bring a Hand Truck or a Lil Red Wagon with me next time. My back and knees are getting too old to take that kind of beating. Geez!!!

I am stoked for Jug/ Blue hole. Cramps, slipped discs, sherpas, whatever it takes...

Please PM me for this one... Can anyone recommend a seasoned/reputable instructor in the Peacock Springs area. I've decided to go for my Intro to cave cert at the end of my little tour. Thanks!

a couple more pics of Jug Hole

If you go, please be especially careful with this cave as it it one of the few that is not totally "beat up" from use. A beautiful cavern zone, a long hike...

Looking at the map available on DeepSea's site, it looks like the cavern zone extends down to the bedding plane restriction at 50'...is this right?

Also, the line starts after the cavern zone, no?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Dove Jug today...The water is up to the platform and the flow is down (still a nice boil). Great dive!

I will post conditions reports on my site later tonight.
