Default Picnic Tables Floating at Eagle's Nest...

    FYI,

Scumbags (I'm being nice) 'placed' 2 of the 3 picnic tables into the water at Eagle's Nest, plus the bench and the sign-in box. I bet they thought that was funny...

Despite the late hour (9pm), and it being cold (well, for Florida, it was) when we finished, Marvin Zaske (Zdiver), Tiago, and I pulled them out, and put the tables back in the parking lot area.

I took the bench, which the scumbags broke, and the sign-in box, which needs a bit of work, home with me to repair. The sign-in box will return soon, minor damage, but the bench needs some work.

If anyone from the Orlando area, is going there in a few days, assuming its before me, please feel free to return the sign-in box.

Oh, the vis was nearly the best I've seen! I could see walls 70' away... Basin wasn't so bad either, though covered with algae.

Thanks TJ for the update - and the care and repair.

I guess I am overdue for the nest come to think of it. Feel like a dive some warm day?

You and I have canceled a couple dives there in the past, so yes, let's try again... and since you don't believe in early morning dives... evenings okay with you? PM me with dates you can go.

Can you imagine the mentality of MULTIPLE people who thought..."Let's drive 20 miles roundtrip out of our way, pick up several heavy picnic tables, carry them 50 feet or so, down some stairs, and dump them in the water...sound like a plan?"
    Euthanasia comes to mind.....?

With any luck they felt pretty 'good' the next day too.

At least they didn't shoot them up. Those signs, benches and trash containers out there would make great targets...

Just makes you want to drive every road early in the AM with the horn blaring during hunting season.

    "Is this thing on?"

Maybe we should anchor them with cement slabs?

Those must be the same people that live next to Waynes World...

LOL! The tables or the scum that did it?

Screw in anchors should be used with welded chain. Much less work involved and it would be easier to move them later if need be.

BTW: chain the to the tables and let the ants have their way.

Double the the Tanks, Double the run, Add a stage for more fun..... Keep on Diving.
