    Default New System for me

First a Great Big Thanks to Joe Tegg and Shirley Kasser for letting me crash their Waynes World dive. This is one of those systems I have always wanted to dive but never took the time to. Well the timing was just perfect Sunday and Joe was nice enough to let me tag along. Since I was in backmount it was suggested that I be the lead. We planned the dive a dove our plan. Waynes World for those not familier is on the West coast and has a tidal influance. At any time vis can be 30 feet or Zero. You will see Heloclines and the silt is the lightest fluff you will ever see. So if you like the Gin Clear water of Ginnie don't even think about it. When someone says that a cave is an "Advanced Cave Dive" This is what they are talking about. So if you think you have your crap together Wayne's World might be fun. Check the NSS-CDS site for rules and requirements.

    Thanks again Joe and Shirley.

    Curt

Curt, you missed the point of dive reports...

Dove it on 4/27 at around 11am.

Vis in the basin was about 5-10ft and greenish.

Vis in the cave was mostly a milky 15-20ft and mostly salt water. There was a halocline for about 40% of the dive, with one long section of about 300ft or so of all halocline.

All in all an average day in the world.

I love diving Waynes world. It is one of my favorites but i haven't dove it in a few years. I should try to get back there sometime soon and since i am in sidemount now it should be even better.

    Gentlemen, please!

A proper dive report includes numbers, lots of numbers!

    Date: 04/27/2008
    Divers: 3, 2 Dry, 1 Wet; 2 Male, 1 Female; 2 with P-valve, 1 without (you figure that one out ), 2 SM divers, 1 BM
    Dive Started: 12:20pm
    Dive Run Time: 50 minutes
    Max Depth: 114 ft
    Average Depth: 80 ft
Number of (wo)man eating mosquitoes: 15,486,487
Level of enjoyment by this diver: 264,348,246,432 out of 10

This is an amazing system and merits many repeated trips back. Ooooo. wait, no....I mean...this is an awful cave...not worth your time...definitely not...no...keep moving...nothing to see here...boring...dull...nope...don't bother.

As you can tell from the grin on Curt's face, it was just horrible!

Here is a fun thing to do when things on the forum have gotten a little stale. Search your posts and review some of the thing you wrote when you were new, middle, Old and decrepit, Coming back after a break, Etc. This is one of my favorite so far.
