I received this email from Jeannette Marie Hinsdale:
Dear Florida Water-Loving Folks,
This week Senator David Simmons (a key player in drafting the Senate Springs Bill) has given the bill to House Representative Jason Brodeur (R-Sanford) to file as a House Bill for the Regular Session that starts March 04, 2014.
Yeah! This is huge. And very brave of Representative Brodeur. It would be helpful if he got some support, generally from informed supporters.
To e-mail your encouragement and support to Rep Brodeur:

It is also VERY important for Rep Brodeur to hear support from his constituents, so if he is your State Representative let him know that in your e-mail.
You can find your Florida State Representative here: http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sectio...SortField=name
If you represent a large organization, business, or institution, let Representative Brodeur know.
Senator Simmons pointed out in the workshop that "while we’ve had laws on the books that authorize regulatory agencies to move forward there are things that haven’t been done for 30 years" because two significant things have been missing that this bill puts in place:
1) An identifiable measurable time period to meet goals that needs to be in the statuate.
2) A dedicated funding source.*
This bill, by paying to clean up the messes we've made, is a Job-Creator, so if you're in school and hoping you'll get a job helping with that, let Representative Brodeur know.
The Springs bill does not have a number yet, that will probably happen Friday --the last day to file a draft for a bill-- right now it is being called the "Springs Protection Bill".
Please forward this message to folks that you deem to be helpful to the campaign.

Thank you.
Best Wishes,
