Default Cave diving days are over.

The sad news is that my cave diving days are over. The good news is that my cave diving was one of the most exciting and rewarding things I have ever done. I learned more about diving and myself than I ever could have with any type of open water diving.
I want to thank Bill Bird ( my instructor ) for introducing me to cave diving and working with me to get me all the way to Full Cave.
I want to thank Marissa and Steve for having the dedication and willingness to dive with and provide safe experience to a newbie cave diver. Both of you provided me some great memories and experience.
To all of the other cave divers I would like for you to know that not once was I ever treated with any disrespect or made to feel like I was not one of you. I thank you for that.

Word of advice unless the reason is physical with no chance of changing don't say over... I took almost 8 year break. Keep the gear that does not deteriorate like reels etc.

Agreed..personally having had a 35 year hiatus it's like waking up after a Van Winkle sleep with eye-opening, major gear and training technique catch-up. Who says you can't teach us old dogs new tricks..some just have to be a little more tolerant with patience..

Bob! I'm disappointed to see this. I enjoyed meeting you and diving with you. Give a call if you're ever in the area....good luck, chin up.
